SAVE LIVES NOW
We leave no stone unturned when it comes to serving our community. COVID-19 is a challenge for the entire globe. India being one of the worst affected countries, thanks to active government and philanthropic engagement, the situation is under control.

Immediate Relief

Supporting efforts of partners for deploying equipment Through the support of the SCR community across the globe, funds are being raised to support the efforts of partners we deploy oxygen concentrators as well as other medical supplies to hospitals and care facilities across the country. Volunteers from our teams across the country are helping to identify areas of need, and support information collection to support healthcare partners.

Current to Medium term

Using SCR spaces (vocational skilling centers) effectively with in-person activities on hold across all our vocational training centers, we will be leveraging these spaces in many states in India to be converted to isolation, care or vaccination facilities to be managed by government authorities. In addition, we aim to reach out to communities in catchment areas and partners to support on-ground health awareness activities and enable access to equipment and supplies.

Ongoing and long run

Equipping SCR communities – CORONA campaign to beat the pandemic, we must make a concerted effort to beat the info emic as well. As the pandemic affects communities across rural and urban parts of the country, it is crucial that people have access to consolidated, verified and contextualized information, which they can utilize to make better decisions and raise awareness in their surroundings. The CORONA campaign is SCR’s communication initiative to reach the last mile and enable communities and families to cope better with the pandemic. Many communities with a SCR presence are being targeted for this campaign. The resources are also available to others freely.

CORONA Campaign

is focused on ensuring delivery of accurate, essential and verified information related to COVID-19 in different regional languages in a form that is easy to understand and use. For this, multiple channels (SMS, WhatsApp, Zoom, YouTube and phone calls) and two-way communication are being used. This is important keeping in mind that most of these communities are low-tech and under-resourced, where availability of such crucial information is scarce. The objectives of this campaign include (a) ensuring information reaches the last mile and (b) establishing an open and two-way channel of communication so that information can be discussed, and questions clarified. Content is being curated and developed with partners and includes health-awareness information, busting myths around the virus, its causes and consequences, and details of why vaccination is essential and dealing with misconceptions about vaccination. Wherever possible, activities to engage children are also being planned.

Second Wave of COVID – 19

The second wave of COVID – 19 is raging across India with devastating impact. With many of millions of active cases in 2021, there is a dire need for hospital beds, doctors, medical equipment and consumables, and greater awareness around COVID appropriate behavior in communities.
SCR foundation with its years of experience in providing relief during disasters and delivering large-scale health programs on the ground is well-positioned to support the affected citizens where the need is the greatest. We are working in many countries for a world where all people live with dignity and security.
We at SCR Foundation have also risen up to the occasion.
With support from several organizations and individuals we have accomplished several diverse projects for the Covid-19 warriors and the community.
